The Colombo Lotus Tower (or Lotus Tower) is a proposed 350 meters tall tower located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It was first proposed to be built in Peliyagoda Town but later the Government of Sri Lanka decided to shift the location.The lotus-shaped tower will be used for communication and observation. Construction will cost $100 million, funded by EXIM Bank of Peoples' Republic of China. After the completion in 2013 the tower will be the tallest building in South Asia and the 19th tallest tower in the world
The Telecommunication Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) started the construction work in February 2011.
